the team at solving kids' cancer
Scott co-founded SKC in 2007 as a tribute to his son, Hazen Kennedy, who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma at age 3. Hazen was Scott’s inspiration for creating Solving Kids' Cancer in part because Hazen wanted to become a scientist when he grew up in order to help people by creating new medicines. As Director of Mission Programs, he is integrally involved in the identification, funding, and management of the organization’s scientific programs. Scott has a BS in Chemistry and Psychology from Indiana University and a MBA from the Asian Institute of Management.

Cindy Campbell is a blogger and childhood cancer advocate. Along with her husband Louis, they
founded the Ty Louis Campbell (TLC) Foundation after the loss of their son, Ty, and partnered with
Solving Kids’ Cancer to fund childhood cancer research. Cindy was so impressed with the strategic
approach at SKC that she joined the team to make a bigger impact. Cindy was previously a marketing
director at PricewaterhouseCoopers and she was employed at various PR agencies earlier in her career.
