Host Dr. Timothy Cripe, with co-hosts Dr. Nilay Shah and Dr. Ryan Roberts, interview Dr. Josh Mendell, who shares his knowledge with regard to the relationship between innate RNA biology and how it influences human disease. Dr. Mendell is a Professor in the Department of Molecular Biology, UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where he studies the relationship of innate biology and human disease. In this podcast, he touches on how micro RNAs that regulate messenger RNAs can (potentially) be involved in the proliferation of cancer because they can be manipulated – an otherwise under-studied concept.
